Gold lustre pigment was used on older Staffordshire figures but yous volition uncovering that it has dulled amongst age. If the golden on a figure is shiny in addition to reflective, beware.

With near antiques a score is desirable but non amongst Staffordshire. Older Staffordshire figures typically ambit non accept whatsoever potter’s marks or manufacturing flora stamps. You volition uncovering “made inwards England” or “Staffordshire” stamped on the undersides of newer pieces.
